This is a quilted abstract work and they are tribal mask faces.  In Africa tribal masks are very common and you see them every where displayed by the different  tribes.
 
Artist Statement.
This art work is partly painted and has machine embroidery all over in the background giving it a safari effect.
Work was raw edge appliqued and satin stitch quilted and back ground fabric as batik.
